PwC Graduate Scheme Event – Manchester

ACEN & PwC Partnership Event – Empowering Black Students for Early Career Success

Following an intro from ACEN, the PwC Student Recruitment Team shared details about PwC’s early careers (graduate and apprenticeship) scheme formats & requirements alongside information about the application process. Other PwC staff present included an Assurance Senior Manager and Black heritage, early career staff members who are currently on the PwC graduate or apprenticeship programs. Ada staff (PwC Technology apprenticeship partners) were also on hand to provide insight into alternative routes to successful IT placements.

Attendees were very keen to learn about the individual journeys of the current Black early careerists and how they succeeded in securing their coveted roles at PwC.  They also shared their typical ‘day in their life at PwC’. Those in attendance found this incredibly insightful and inspiring.

The Q&A session was particularly lively with students making the most of the opportunity to maximise their understanding of what would help them successfully navigate the application process and learn more about PwC and the range of opportunities on offer.

The subsequent post-presentation, breakout session provided further information gathering and networking opportunities for attendees who were able to secure insight and hints & tips one-on-one, directly from PwC, Ada College and ACEN.
